Embracing Change

“No matter who you are, no matter what you did, no matter where you’ve come from, you can always change, become a better version of yourself.” Madonna. Last Friday night, I came home after a busy working day. I had some plans for the night. I was going to work on some of my social media class assignments and watch one of my favorite TV shows, Shark Tank. Well, something unexpected happened, a power outage that lasted for about four hours. At first, I thought, now what? After waiting for a while, I changed my plans. That got me thinking about change.

Sometimes we think that our life is stuck in a stagnant point and can’t see further. We feel that our world is upside down. But let me tell you, you’re not alone. Many people feel the same way. What do you want to do? Stay there or step out. Wouldn’t you prefer to change your situation?

I believe that life is not static, it evolves constantly but people tend to reject change, people fear change. It might be because change implies to get out of our comfort zone; it implies to face new challenges and to break our routines as Rick Palmer writes in his blog The Change Economy.

Don’t forget that change can be rewarding and exciting. Once you have overcome your fears and embraced change, you feel triumphant. Once you have embraced your new situation, you can enjoy it, and you can have new expectations. Give yourself the opportunity to growth; don’t let yourself to get behind!
